State e-Governance Mission Team (SeMT)

To provide an overall direction, standardization and consistency through program management of the e-Governance initiatives in the U.T. of Puducherry and function as a Secretariat and Internal Advisory Body in undertaking e-Governance projects. "UT Level State Wide Area Network"

The Committee would have overall responsibility for implementation of the SWAN project in the UT of Puducherry and will meet as often as necessary to review the physical and financial progress of the project. The constitution of the Committee is as follows :

Implementation Committees for the Project
"State Data Centre"

The following committees are constituted for the implementation of State Data Centre (SDC) in the Union Territory of Puducherry :

The Apex Committee will address problems and resolve issues pertaining to State Data Centre. The committee will function up to the implementation of the project.


b) UT level State Data Centre(SDC) Project Implementation Committee

The Committee would have overall responsibility for implementation of the SDC project in the UT of Puducherry and will meet as often as necessary to review the physical and financial progress of the project. The committee will function up to the implementation of the project. The Chairman may co-opt technical experts as and when desired. The implementation committee will be overseeing, monitoring the setting up and operationalization of the State Data Centre.


c) Composite Team for State Data Centre

The composite team would primarily be responsible for the operations and management of State Data Centre during implementation and post implementation of the project. The roles and responsibilities that have been stipulated shall generally be addressed by the Composite team under the direction of Secretary (IT).



State High Level Committee for the Project
"Common Services Centre"

To identify e-Services pertaining to various Government Departments of State/Central, PSU, Societies, Government Undertakings, etc. and advise ways for automation of the identified services for web enablement. The Committee would oversee the functioning of the State Designated Agency with reference to the Common Services Centres project. The Constitution of the State High Level Committee is as follows :

"IT Mass Literacy" through Common Services Centres
